New December Stamp of the Month Card #4

I am on a roll it seems, so here is, without further ado, Card #4 in the December Stamp of the Month Card Class!

I am using a Masking technique here as well as the brand new Reindeer Die Cut from Tim Holtz - what? Never used one before? Let me show you how in this very informative stamping and card making class.

Class dates available for these cards are as follows

Thurs Dec 2 at 6pm - 9pm (NEW DATE!)
Wed Dec 8th at 6pm - 9pm
Wed Dec 15th at 1pm - 4pm
Wed Dec 15th at 6pm - 9pm

Cost is : $28/$25 (no free stamp offered this month only)

Call now to sign up for any of the above classes at 613-745-2215! Thank you! At least one more coming tomorrow!

Jenn

PS The message starts on the outside of the card 'You can run...' and then on the inside of the card it says..."...but you can't hide from your birthday". I thought it would be appropriate for any male type person in your life requiring a birthday card. Hope you agree and that I see you real soon!

New December "Stamp of the Month" Cards

I am substituting my own card desgins for the December Stamp of the Month (if you ask why, please check out your weekly Member's Newsletter. Don't get a newsletter cause you aren't a member? Sign up for a membership next time you are at the store to get the inside scoop!)

So here are the first 3 cards of a potential 6 card class (could only be 5 cards depending on level of complexity)

As you can see, I have selected the "Midnight Frost" paper line from Bo Bunny for this class and I so love the colours. There isn't a 'theme' to this collection, but instead is a well rouned collection of greeting cards. I hope to have a few more done by the end of today.

Class dates available for these cards are as follows

Thurs Dec 2 at 6pm - 9pm (NEW DATE!)
Wed Dec 8th at 6pm - 9pm
Wed Dec 15th at 1pm - 4pm
Wed Dec 15th at 6pm - 9pm

Cost is : $28/$25 (no free stamp offered this month only)

I am breaking even more tradition with this class as I am using my favorite stamps from any company. I am really enjoying making this class and there are some techniques involved that haven't been seen in any previous Stamp of the Month.

Call the store to sign up! 613-745-2215 and leave a message if not during normal business hours! We will get back to you!

Come Play!

Still recovering, but pushing on!

We had a FABULOUS time over the weekend with Melissa Frances - she is an awesome, inspiring yet down to earth woman who more than delivered on her classes and fab products. Anyone I spoke to had a great time and agreed that time when too fast!I will do more of an update with some fun pics later on in the week!

So today marks the Anniversary of The Scrapbox - Three Years ago on this date I opened the doors to a line up of very enthusiastic scrapbookers and I've been running to keep up ever since. And what a wild ride it has been. We will be doing lots of fun stuff this week to celebrate and to show my appreciation to my customers. Today, tomorrow and Friday we will be doing some Make & Takes and/or Demos and today I am going to launch into a very new product that was released this year from W R Memory Keepers that will make album and book binding 'A Cinch!'.

This is a layout I did about a month ago that I was hoping to have posted pre-Disney trip but just didn't have the time. It features the latest product from My Minds Eye "Lost & Found" collection plus a few bits from my own collection.

This grouping of product includes new flowers and bling from Prima, a glimmer glass butterfly from Tattered Angels Nature Collection (which you can alter the shape by warming up slightly with a heat gun), Lost & Found embellishments and I think there is a Jenni Bowlin button hidden in there too. I used the Tim Holtz Flourishes Stamps to add to the background, but to also help transition the two pages.

I am also somewhat proud of this area of the LO because I took an element of one of the MME papers that had the bracket shape, used it as a template to cut out the scallop shape you see with the faint image of the bird - but it is also still attached the the banner that is above Emma's picture. I like the idea of creating one of a kind embellishmemnts from paper.

Also a bit of luck with the placement of the paper behind the photo - one of the brown glitter swirls that sits right above Emma's head reminded me of a crown so I put a little bling there to crown my little princess. Other embellishments here came from a Lost & Found dimensional sticker package but the bird image on the dictionary page is from a 3 year old MME pack of rubs. Fascinating how they keep using the same colour pallette eh?

I made the kraft pocket from a paper bag that was left in the studio by some unknown donor - distressed it up with Vintage Photo Ink (one of my favorites from Tim's line of Distress Inks) as I did with almost every other elbellishment and paper in this LO - I found the creme colour just a bit bright. But I digress...

The pink 'shape' is a Bird sticker from Heidi's old days with Advantus. I bought a roll of these pink birds for my store opening and they are still haunting my discount bin. However since pink and birds were a recurring theme someone challenged me to include it somehow. So I inked it up with Vintage photo, stamped on it with the flourish stamp but also added a little message to my daughter as she starts down her own scholastic career.

Well - that was quite the ramble on! If you made it down to the very end without needing a bathroom break and a drink of water congrats! I hope it was somewhat amusing or helpful!

Have a great day!

Jenn
