This is a layout I did about a month ago that I was hoping to have posted pre-Disney trip but just didn't have the time. It features the latest product from My Minds Eye "Lost & Found" collection plus a few bits from my own collection.
This grouping of product includes new flowers and bling from Prima, a glimmer glass butterfly from Tattered Angels Nature Collection (which you can alter the shape by warming up slightly with a heat gun), Lost & Found embellishments and I think there is a Jenni Bowlin button hidden in there too. I used the Tim Holtz Flourishes Stamps to add to the background, but to also help transition the two pages.
I am also somewhat proud of this area of the LO because I took an element of one of the MME papers that had the bracket shape, used it as a template to cut out the scallop shape you see with the faint image of the bird - but it is also still attached the the banner that is above Emma's picture. I like the idea of creating one of a kind embellishmemnts from paper.
Also a bit of luck with the placement of the paper behind the photo - one of the brown glitter swirls that sits right above Emma's head reminded me of a crown so I put a little bling there to crown my little princess. Other embellishments here came from a Lost & Found dimensional sticker package but the bird image on the dictionary page is from a 3 year old MME pack of rubs. Fascinating how they keep using the same colour pallette eh?
I made the kraft pocket from a paper bag that was left in the studio by some unknown donor - distressed it up with Vintage Photo Ink (one of my favorites from Tim's line of Distress Inks) as I did with almost every other elbellishment and paper in this LO - I found the creme colour just a bit bright. But I digress...
The pink 'shape' is a Bird sticker from Heidi's old days with Advantus. I bought a roll of these pink birds for my store opening and they are still haunting my discount bin. However since pink and birds were a recurring theme someone challenged me to include it somehow. So I inked it up with Vintage photo, stamped on it with the flourish stamp but also added a little message to my daughter as she starts down her own scholastic career.
Well - that was quite the ramble on! If you made it down to the very end without needing a bathroom break and a drink of water congrats! I hope it was somewhat amusing or helpful!
Have a great day!
Jenn
