Basic Grey CHA Summer...

Ok this is one of the first booths I visited - and placed an order at. I love LOVE the Curio line (shipping in October!) and the Jovial Christmas line is - in Stephanie's opinion - better than last year! And for fall we are very interested in the Pyrus line as well. Here are a few pics of their booth - would love to hear from you as to what you like best!

I hope that you are enjoying my CHA Recaps...more over the weekend!

Back home safely from CHA! Review Part One...

Ok - home safe and sound! Flights were uneventful although there was an hour delay coming home. Wish I knew so I could have spent another hour on the floor! Oh well...

I wanted to do a post while things are really fresh in my mind, but most importantly I want to report that I have confirmed Melissa Frances is coming Oct 1 & 2, 2010 and was able to get a good long look at the projects that she wants to bring up to us!

I will be releasing more in a newsletter! Book the dates though now - Friday Oct 1 and Sat Oct 2, 2010 has Melissa Frances coming to The Scrapbox!

I also took this opportunity to speak to other 'celebs' designers and have received very positive feedback - I have signed up someone for March and another potentially for June. I will be at The Scrapbox Studio tomorrow night to give more details on that so why not come by for the free Make & Take and get the news first hand? I will let you down gently now, and tell you that Tim isn't one of them. However I did have a very good conversation with Mario who reassured me that time and patience will be our best options - and Tim shows no sign of slowing down, let alone retiring...

On to more pictures!

I would steal this guy in a minute - but I couldn't afford him and Tim needs him to much I think =)

A few sneak peaks of product that impressed me...

This is where I leave you wanting more folks - if you are curious I will have some samples tomorrow at The Scrapbox - come keep my company as I work my first shift at the store in nearly a week!

And on that note I would like to take a moment to thank my awesome Scrapbox Angels and Divas who have given me peace of mind so that I could attend my first CHA. Jacquie, Tammy & Stephanie - you ladies are awesome and I am very grateful. Thank you!

Hope to see you all soon, and stay tuned for more pics and peeks!

Day 1 at CHA

First - I arrived safely in Chicago and CHA! Yay me!

Secondly - have an awesome time and I am so very glad I came and I still have a day and a half to go!

Highlights of my trip so far include but are certainly not limited to...

1. Meeting with Melissa Francis and her lovely assistant Kim to discuss the projects she is going to teach at The Scrapbox Oct 1 & 2 (details totally forthcoming!)

2. Bumping into Debby Schuh outside the BG booth and meeting again today for lunch!

3. Doing a House of 3/Pink Paislee Parisan Make & Take with Heidi!

4. Seeing tons of new product that I love love love!

5. Watching a 90 minute T!m Demo (I have pictures!)

6. Finally meeting Mario and getting some awesome info! (And I have a great pic of that too)

7. Ending the night at Gino's East with the Ranger family who were very grascious in letting me completely crash their dinner but my ride was invited so I was able to drink beer with Claudine Helmuth and Suz Wienburg (sp?) and many other fine fine folks!

I have taken 200+ pics already and I see that my ride is now heading out the door and down for some quick breakfast so I better get my but in gear! HOpefully a pic or two will be posted tonite!

See you soon!

Going to CHA!

Bright and early Tuesday morning I am going to be flying out of Ottawa to Chicago for the Summer CHA show! Going to check out all the new releases to better make our choices for the next 6 months of product and I couldn't be more excited! I've been following the sneak peaks as best as I can so I cannot wait to see all these things in person! I don't know how much I am going to be able to post while I am down there but I will have my camera! Back to making lists and packing!

The Scrapbox will open as usual while I am away (and I am only going to be away from Tues to Thurs) and I have all the confidence that Tammy, Stephanie & Jacquie will be taking care of business just fine!

This Friday night is our FREE Make & Take designed by Stephanie starting at 6pm - I will also be there and I am sure that any samples I have will also be there if people want to see it! I'll be there to talk about my expereinces and to answer any questions!

Have an awesome week!
