FAQ for the Debby Schuh Event

Q1. What is the deadline for registering?

A. If we have space, you could register at the very last possible minute. However our of a possible 60 spots, we have 49 people pre-registered already. I wouldn't suggest to wait longer than you have to.

Q2. When is payment of class fees due?

A. Half of your payment is due by April 1, 2010. If you want to do a payment plan please contact Jenn at 613-745-2215 and leave a message if need be. She will get back to you. The balance of the fees are due two weeks prior to the event. That date is April 16th. We need to know how many kits to ship!

You can pay in full at any time before April 23rd. We accept Debit, MasterCard, Visa and now American Express. Cash is nice too.

Q3. Will there be a store available on site?

A. I want there to be a store on site, and am waiting word back from Chimo as to what their policy is. If nothing else, there will be shuttles going back and forth to the Scrapbox regularily. We will be able to fulfill all of your scrappin-needs!

Q 4. Can I purchase extra Kits from this event?

A4. Sure you can! If you want to purchase kits, but not able to make the event, the cost is the same as the single class. We will toss in the goodie bag for that class as well!

If you are taking the class plus you want to purchase an extra kit, then the extra kit will be priced much lower. Details on that coming in the next newsletter.

Q. 5 What if I have to cancel my classes/package?

A5.. Here is the Cancellation policy for the Debby Schuh event.

You may cancel with a full refund up until March 31, 2010.

If you cancel your spot between April 1, 2010 and April 15th 2010 you are entitled to receive a full refund minus a $40 cancellation fee.

Option : If you are not able to attend but want to receive the kits and gift bags, then full payment is still expected by April 16th 2010. Your seat will be given up for the next person on the wait list. There will be no refund with this option.

After April 16th 2010 : No refund will be provided, however you will still receive all the kits and goodie bags that you would have otherwise received. Your seat will be given up for the next person on the wait list.

Option: If you are not able to make it but you have a friend who will take your place, that is allowed. The package would be then listed under her name instead of yours. We would need to be notified of this asap. Please note that the Packages cannot be split between two parties.

In the event you need to cancel, please inform us immediately. We understand that 'Life Happens' but regardless of the reason you need to cancel, the above policy will be in force.

Please call us at 613-745-2215 in case of cancellation.

So with that being said, if you can't make it we will miss you terribly! Please make sure you can come and have arrangements made ahead of time so that we don't sit around missing you all weekend! Thanks!

Want to see some project samples? Of course you do!

New Product in Store now!

Hey folks!

Well it has started! The rush of new product coming in started last week with MME "Lush" line, Graphics 45 (all of it of course!) and Glimmer Mist! Continuing this week we have seen New Dazzles Stickers from Hot Off the Press (these are like peel-off stickers in fun and beautiful designs!) including new 12 x 12 sheets of stickers for card makers and scrapbookers alike!

Also new into the Scrapbox - Teresa Collins 'Welcome Home' paper line - just the paper atm - the ribbons, acetate and stamps will be in next week. Also available by special order is their 'Weclome Home' 6x12 Album! Very cool.

I hope to be getting in a preliminary shipment of Prima Flowers and 'Dear Lizzie' from AC today. Will keep you updated!

Random thoughts...

"This makes me happy!", she said, out of the blue, but with great excitement.

This took me a bit by suprise. Let me try to explain…I usually see happiness. I hear it in a persons voice, but they are usually saying something else. And all too briefly we know what happiness feels like, but to hear those four words (just 4!) was kinda new to me. I suppose it was that I didn’t expect to hear such a simple and pure sentiment from an adult. And it didn’t take much (in my opinion) to make this person happy – she was in my Tim Tag class this past Saturday morning and just learned how to make a Grungepaper Rose. Real simple in the grand scheme of things but she openly declared it in front of a class of (mostly) strangers.

I can’t tell you how happy that made me! That made me happy.

Talk about therapy! This statement was declared a few more times and everyone in general agreed that getting inky and smooched (and maybe a bit sticky) wasn’t a bad way to pass a morning.

I had a ‘this makes me happy’ moment later on that weekend when I was picking away at a LO that has been a year in the making. I was going through an unexplored box of Fancy Pants Chipboard from the ‘Daily Grind’ line (yes it’s been that long) and I was just playing with the different pieces and evaluating different possibilities while sitting with my daughter (she was scrapbooking too – sort of) Out of nowhere, and completely unexpectedly, I had a swelling of *happiness* that rose within me. It was like taking a breath of clear country winter air, but without inhaling. It washed over me and I knew – I just *knew* what this lady was talking about when she said “This makes me happy!”. I turned to my daughter and said those 4 words to her, and she just nodded at me in complete understanding.

Then it struck me – it’s what children know all along! Being happy, living in the moment and doing what feels right at that time. It’s a recapturing of that innocence that, I thought, was lost to me. Through scrapbooking I can come full circle.

Thank you Rachel, for being happy in the moment and sharing it.
