Charity Event is revving up!

**Edit**
THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE! All pictures and fun is happening indoors at the back in the Studio! We aren't going to let a bit of phooey weather dampen our spirits! Thanks in advance!
**End of Edit**

Things are starting to all fall into place for the First Annual Halloween Charity Event at The Scrapbox for "Scrapping with Cancer". As the days slip quickly by we are doing what we can to let the word out about what we are doing, who we are doing it with and who we are doing it for!

It's perhaps no secret now that I am a geek at heart - I love Star Wars! So when I had the opportunity to team up with the 501st Legion Capitol City Squad to raise awareness and funds for 'Scrapping with Cancer' it was easy as getting glue dots stuck to my fingernails!

So let's get to the facts shall we?

When: Sat Oct 25 starting at 12pm (high noon!)

Where: The Scrapbox, located at 5510 Canotek Rd (directions at the bottom of the post)

How : Come on down, in costume or not, big or little! Pay a wee fee and have your picture taken with creatures from the dark side!

Why : So we can raise monies to put together scrapbook kits for children diagnosed with cancer at CHEO! Yes! I have been approved to open a chapter of 'Scrapping with Cancer' that will be putting whatever we raise right back into our community, our hospitol, and more importantly our children.

What : You can bring your own camera and for $2 per person you take pictures of...well you can take their pictures with Star Wars Characters! If you want US to take your picture, we will be happy to take 6 photos of each person, and put them onto a CDrom for $6.00. All Proceeds go to 'Scrapping with Cancer'.

I will be promoting this event both on Rogers Daytime Television tomorrow morning, Monday Oct 21 showing at 11 am, 1pm and 5pm.

Also I am scheduled to appear on "A Morning" - the morning talk show on A Channel - on Wed Oct 22! My slot should be around 8:30am - if there is a change I will post it here!

*EDIT*
Ok here is the change that always happens when dealing with the media - our slot is now around 8:45am and will last about 4-5 mins in length. There will be 2 Clones in attendance as well!
*End of Edit*

And the above photo? Well - just wanted to give you a hint of what is to come!

Hope you had a fab weekend!

Kudos that are waaaay overdue!

Big congrats goes out to Stephanie Pouliot for being accepted by Scrapbook Trends to have her beautiful "Scrapbook Quilt" published this coming spring! Steph you are super talented and I know this is just the tip of the iceburg bella!

In other news - Jenny's been a busy girl, but I have managed to update The Scrapbox Website with the courses happening in November that I have pictures for - there will be more coming so stay tuned!

Speaking of the very talented Stephanie - here is a sneak peak of her 'Fa La La' Acrylic Album that she will be teaching in November. Full pictures can be seen on her blog, or at the Scrapbox Website or come in to the store to see the sample for youself! It's just stunning! Good work Stephanie!

New Product received in this week!

Heidi Swapp's latest line of papers and bling! Winterfresh, Diningroom and her all Boy line is in and can be admired at your convenience - but don't wait too long. Also in - more bits from Tim Holtz - key holes, Acrylic ovals and shapes as well as some fabulous masks. Do I see another Tim Holtz class in the making for Jenn perhaps? Perhaps.....=)

Other new things in - the Quicker-Picker-Upper-Poker! This little handy tool picks up all the little bits that are so pretty but irksome to play with. Come in for a demo - you will want to snap them up before my first order of 12 are gone. What's that? Oh - ok so 7 are left...(an no I'm not kidding)

I also got in a FULL re-order of Tim HOltz's Alcahol inks today - so if there was that colour that you were looking for and couldn't find it anywhere - well I got and I got it just for you =)

Lots more to see and to do - tomorrow night is Free late night crop night for members - there is still space so call and come in until 11pm! 613-745-2215.

That's enough from me for one night. Hope to see you real soon!
